ABC and Oprah’s Big Give-North Central Florida

First came Oprah’s Big Give on ABC. An instant hit inspiring giving in an all new and BIG way every Sunday at 9pm through April 20th. Then ABC offered affiliates $10,000 seed money if we came up with a way to give big in our markets. We did. Our give…two North Central Florida families forever changed by the war in Iraq. M&S Bank, Avera and Smith and Harley Davidson of Ocala joined WCJB and matched the $10,000 so we could start with $20,000. K-Country came on board as our radio partner and our local BIG GIVE team was formed. Now we take it public.

March 25th and 26th Bob Williams will reveal the families on WCJB TV20 News at 6. The account is set up to give at all M&S locations and the on-line giving will be ready to go. We will have a link to the on-line giving on wcjb.com. Checks should be made to: Oprah’s Big Give-DAV Chapter 90. We will plan a reveal to the families very soon after Oprah’s Big Give finale on April 20th.
